TERESA JOHNSTON-CHANCE

Teresa Johnston-Chance co-founded GrassRoots Promotion in 1996 where she presently leads the promotion team as well as manages GrassRoots Promotion’s operations with co-founder Nancy Tunick. Teresa has been involved in the promotion of numerous hit singles including Randy Travis’ “Three Wooden Crosses,” the first Christian single to top the Billboard Country airplay chart garnering both CMA and ACM song of the year honors, as well as hits by Dierks Bentley, Brett Eldredge, Blake Shelton, Big & Rich, Eli Young Band, Keith Urban, Sawyer Brown, Diamond Rio, Shenandoah, Alabama, and many more. Her more recent successes include promotion assistance in the launch of the careers of Mitchell Tenpenny and Tenille Arts. Teresa and GrassRoots Promotion have been awarded Independent Promoter of the Year multiple times by the Country Radio Broadcasters and Country Aircheck.

Teresa previously served as Radio Promotion Manager at Step One Records where she managed teams for multiple format releases including Country, AC, AAA and Americana. Prior to that, she served as Assistant Chart Director at Cashbox Magazine and as Executive Assistant for TNN/Music City News Awards Show following her graduation from Pace University. Teresa is very active with Autism Speaks and has directed many of the Autism Sings concerts presented annually in Nashville.
